Thermographic Inspection

A thermographic inspection is an effective and reliable assessment method for evaluation of heat distribution in the building. Infrared cameras that produce thermal imaging are used to monitor and diagnose the condition of the building on a colour map which reveals temperature differences (low or high temperatures) across the surface. Lighter colours mean there is a more intensive infrared radiation and a temperature that is above the normal level. Infrared technology makes it easy to perform remote, non-destructive inspections to reflect temperature differences. This method offers great possibilities for evaluation of the condition of various facilities, components and objects.

Thermographic inspections conducted by City Service Engineering specialists help to reveal problem areas in the building, find out what causes them, and recommend actions to improve temperature distribution throughout the entire object. Thermographic inspection is used to find missing, damaged, or inadequate insulation of the building, and determine the level of efficiency or degree of wear. The inspection process pinpoints sources of critical heat loss in order to evaluate the total amount of heat loss in specific buildings and even reveal construction defects.

City Service Engineering has been among the first companies in Lithuania to enter into energy service contracts (ESC). An ESC is a performance-based contract developed to achieve energy savings and enhance energy efficiency. If we fail to reach the goals set in the contract, we will reimburse the customer. Two types of energy service contracts are available for customers: a contract with investments or with no investments. In both cases, our technicians conduct an inspection of the object’s systems and prepare recommendations on the energy-saving measures. We offer no-cost solutions for those customers who cannot afford to invest: system adjustments, periodic equipment monitoring and compliance checks of parameters and compliance with hygiene standards. If a customer is ready to invest in additional energy saving measures, qualified and skilled specialists will conduct equipment installation and technical maintenance.

Recording Energy Use

Furthermore, our company can rent equipment for short-term measurements. Equipment that our company offers is highly reliable. In cases when suspension of systems’ operation is a complicated process or even impossible, we have measuring equipment that can be used without interfering with the operation. Energy-saving and consumption control begin with consumption tracking with the help of automatic monitoring systems. Energy consumption management requires an evaluation of the entire system because, otherwise, it will be a complicated process.

Our company offers the following measures for the optimisation of energy management:

  • At the system design stage, our technicians identify the target objects for monitoring and put them into subgroups; we analyse need in virtual units, analyse the possibility of industrial data integration, prepare the chart of recording units and coordinate the integration of different input points.
  • At the system integration stage, our team installs equipment for data storage (meters) and conducts adjustment of all units.
  • Finally, the system is put into operation. During this process, and with the participation of the customer, technicians create special-purpose reports, as well as procedures necessary to maintain uninterrupted operation of the record keeping system.

City Service Engineering the standards of the Energy Service Company (ESCO). With this compliance standard, we enter into energy service contracts with building managers and invest our own funds in energy efficient measures. The major part of returns on investment made by the company is based on the savings achieved during the contract term.

When a company enters into an agreement with the customer, it provides a guarantee on the achievement of energy savings after the integration of energy-efficient measures in the buildings.
